Easter Weekend

What a blessed Easter we had!  T's sister Shelly and her adorable daughter Kaitlin were in town, my daughter Jackie and her husband JP came down from Grover Beach, and T's cousin Jon and Ethan came in town too.

On Saturday we did a little wine tasting. We had a wine tasting cave tour where we did a tasting right out of the barrel...and then went to a couple of other wineries, and had a nice dinner at a restaurant called Flat Bread.

On Sunday we went to church and then went home to prepare brunch, which was a group effort and came out perfect!  All of our kids and my mom were there as well.  It was great to spend the weekend and holiday with the people I love!

1940's Murder in Swingtime

On Friday, T and I went to the Howard School Auction, which was a 1940's Murder Mystery event.
We had so much fun going all out and actually dressing up!  Amazingly, it was a last minute decision to actually go 40's style.  I totally lucked out and found this dress from a little vintage store in Santa Barbara.  They said they thought it was from 1948 or 1949.  And, the hat T is wearing...would you believe I got it in the white elephant gift exchange at work last Christmas?  It was perfect!
Doesn't T look dashing in his hat?

On our way home

The kids at the Avi Resort
Okay...I know I haven't been good about blogging on our way home, but it has been a busy couple of days.
We went to Santa Fe, New Mexico and had a great new Mexican lunch at a restaurant called The Shed, then we walked around a bit, got the kids ice cream and loaded us all back in the RV to go to Albuquerque.
We got to Albuquerque and the kids swam in the heated indoor pool again...then T and I fed them and snuck out for dinner alone again. Thanks Jackie for letting us get out. :)
On Friday morning...we headed for the Avi Resort and Casino in Laughlin....the kids had a blast and loved the pool! It had water guns, a water fall, and hot tub. After dinner T and I went to the casino for about an hour where we both lost at black jack...but I did win about 10 bucks at the little electronic poker thing at the bar. For the record, I don't gamble at all....so I really had no clue what I was doing...
Well, we called it an early night and left at 7am this morning to head home. I think we are all ready to get out of this RV.
I have lots of pictures to post from my camera and will try to get them loaded tonight or tomorrow. Here is one of the kids at the Avi...Claire Marie is missing because she was playing with a little girl in the other pool next to us....
